Christopher G. Covington graduated from Stanford University and received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
His surgical internship was completed at University of Kansas Medical Center. He also completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
At St. John Medical Center, Dr. Covington served as the chairman of the Neurology/Neurosurgery/ physical Medicine/Rehab/Pain Management section. He also serves on the Board of Directors for UPAL (Utica Physician's Association Limited).
Dr. Covington is a Clinical Associate Professor for the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Tulsa.

Dr. Covington is a member of the American Medical Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association, Tulsa County Medical Society, Tulsa Surgical Society, Tulsa Neurological Society, American Association of Neurosurgical Surgeons, Congress of Neurosurgical Surgeons, and the Rocky Mountain Neurological Society. Dr. Covington was past President of the Rocky Mountain Neurological Society. He was certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1989.
